Care the Bridging Care way

Our goal is not to be good. It’s to be extraordinary. Extraordinary performance comes from extraordinary people. And the foundation for extraordinary people is an extraordinary culture.

“We are doing this to lift barriers, create access, and address the social determinants of health in all of our diverse communities.”

— Mikel Samaniego, Chief Executive Officer at Bridging Care

Making a difference the bridging care way

Our Vision

To partner with communities to create patient-led whole person health.

Our Mission

A world where health equity is celebrated through whole person health.

Our story

Bridging Care was created as a joint venture between two 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations: Washington Academy of International Medical Graduates (WAIMG) and Angels for Angels.

Washington Academy of International Medical Graduates’ mission is to create more diverse physicians serving diverse populations in Washington State. As a physician-led organization that cares about health equity and is working to address language and communication barriers, eliminating any barrier between physicians and patients is important for WAIMG.

Angels for Angels’ mission is to help community leaders create and scale locally-led and sustainable social projects. At the core of Angels for Angels’ mission is creating lasting change, inspired and led by the community itself, exactly what Bridging Care aims to do.

Bridging Care connects the missions of both organizations by improving health equity outcomes across Washington’s diverse populations in a locally-led and sustainable way that creates lasting positive social outcomes.

making a difference in the community

“Bridging Care” is more than a name—it reflects our commitment to creating a culture of compassion, collaboration, and community.
